Java Job: Java Engineer (NOC: 21231)

Job Duties

· Implement and maintain Java components and frameworks throughout the software development life cycle

· Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency

· Analyze user requirements to define business objectives

· Design flowcharts to illustrate software solutions and write efficient code based on feature specifications

· Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging

· Validate software functionality and security and envisioning system features and functionality

· Ensure application designs conform with business goals

· Identify and resolve any technical issues arising

· Create detailed design documentation

· Propose changes to current Java infrastructure

· Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review

Requirements and skills

· Expert knowledge of programming languages such as java, php, mysql, sqlsever, javascript, html5, vue, etc.

· 3 years to less than 5 years

· Experience in mobile app development, IoT development and data middleware development

· Proficiency in microservices architecture

· Freight management system development experience is preferred

· Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) patterns and concepts

· Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns

· Strong skill for writing reusable Java libraries

· Good knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF, Spring Cloud, JDBC and RESTful web services

· In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools

· Problem-solving skills

· Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines

· BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
