The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.

The Developer is accountable for high quality creation, testing and documentation of new and amended programs using agreed standards and tools.

The role requires a good technical knowledge in all aspects of software development ensuring that development efforts comply with the strategic direction and desired outcomes of the Transport Regulation User Management Processing System (TRUMPS) Team. The primary focus of this role will be to undertake application development and maintenance tasks, working within a diverse project team, or independently as the task dictates, on all aspects of the TRUMPS system.

Degree in Infromation Technology or equivalent.

One+ year experience using Java and SQL preferably Oracle. Experience in the following technologies and techniques will be viewed favourably:

  • JPA, JBoss, Linux
  • CI Tools
  • Maven
  • Ant
  • OWASP Security
  • UX Modelling
  • Agile Scrum I Kanban

Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior to employment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be required relevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
